Summer Days

These pictures date back to Spencer's Birthday, Father's Day, and the Fourth of July. We must be enjoying summer so much that the days are flying by!

For Father's Day the kids had their Dad open presents right after eating Brigham's Buttermilk Donuts for breakfast. Scott Jr. and Gabriella even helped me peel/slice apples for apple crisp later that morning. After going to church we had a Puerto Rican dinner consisting of Steak and Vinegar, Arroz con Gandules, tostones with apple crisp for dessert.

How is it possible for a 1 year old to lift and drag a 10 pound weight across the living room floor? I guess Spencer will take after his Dad! :)

Scott Jr. attended his first year of Scout Camp the last week of August/first week of July. He earned merit badges for the Polar Bear Swim, Metal Work, Archery, Sports, and also earned his totin chip (showing his can use his pocket knife responsibly). See the happy camper below...

At the end of June, I took a solo trip to Stafford, Virginia to attend the wedding reception of my friend Dahlia. We were roommates my first summer in New Jersey and I simply love her - she is amazing! Dahlia married a wonderful man, Roy, and I am happy to report they are very happy newlyweds. (I just love the view of the Washington D.C. temple from the beltway!).
Dahlia & Roy - the happy couple! :)

Spencer enjoying his new wading pool on a hot summer day - he didn't want to get out!

After Scott Jr. returned from Scout Camp on July 4th, we crashed Michael and Mandy's BBQ and had enough time for a quick ball game at the school park across the street.
Spencer didn't think much of his first time on a trampoline.
I had to include these video clips of Spencer - he is simply getting so active these days! In fact, this past Wednesday he started really walking full-time. One of the clips show just how much Spencer LOVES to brush his teeth and LOVES to play with Scott Jr. and Gabriella.
