In February, we decided to invest in an iPad2. I say "invest" since it does not come cheap, but some of his therapists/teachers use the iPad with him and we felt it would be a great tool for him to use at home. We LOVE the iPad and, for us, it lives up to the hype. Spencer amazed us with his ability to navigate it by the end of the day and he loves playing the games (which include some speech tools) and we love using it too.
In fact, I feel comfortable leaving him with the iPad while I shower in the mornings...and I love looking for evidence of what he has done to keep himself busy for 10 minutes (as seen below).
